Description

Sir Vyvin's squire has lost Sir Vyvin's special sword, which was a gift from the Imcando dwarves. The squire asks you to find a replacement before Sir Vyvin finds out.

Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

Speak to the Squire in the courtyard of the White Knights' Castle in Falador. He's usually near the south entrance.

Agree to help him find a replacement sword.

Finding the Dwarf

Travel to Varrock Palace and speak to Reldo in the library (north-west corner of the ground floor[UK]1st floor[US]).

Ask Reldo about Imcando dwarves. (Do NOT ask for a quest unless you want to start Shield of Arrav. If you accidentally start it, find the correct book in the library first before talking to Reldo again).

Reldo will tell you about Thurgo, who lives south of Port Sarim.

Meeting Thurgo

Make sure you have a Redberry pie. You can buy one from the Grand Exchange, or bake it yourself (requires 10 Cooking).

Travel south-west from Port Sarim, past the Rimmington mine, until you find a small hut near the cliff.

Speak to Thurgo inside the hut.

Give him the Redberry pie when prompted. He will agree to help but needs a picture of the original sword.

Getting the Portrait

Return to the White Knights' Castle in Falador.

Go up to the 2nd floor[UK]3rd floor[US].

Enter the room on the east side. Wait for Sir Vyvin to leave the room if he is there.

Search the cupboard to find a Portrait.

Mining Blurite Ore

Make sure you have a Pickaxe.

Return to Thurgo's hut south-west of Port Sarim.

Enter the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon, the cave entrance just north of Thurgo's hut.

Navigate through the cave (watch out for Muggers and Pirates near the entrance).

Follow the path south, then east, then north into the icy area.

Run past the Ice warriors (level 57) and Ice giants (level 53) to the northern end of the icy cavern.

Mine one Blurite ore from the rocks on the wall (requires 10 Mining).

Exit the cave.

Forging the Sword

Speak to Thurgo again.

Give him the Portrait (if you haven't already shown it).

Make sure you have 2 Iron bars and the Blurite ore in your inventory.

Thurgo will take the materials and forge a replica Knight's sword.

Completing the Quest

Take the replica sword back to the Squire in the White Knights' Castle courtyard in Falador.

Speak to the Squire to give him the sword and complete the quest.
