Description

Legends tell of a magical lost city hidden in the swamps. Many adventurers have tried to find this city, but it is proving difficult. Can you unlock the secrets of the city of Zanaris?

Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

Head to the Lumbridge Swamp, south of the forest between Lumbridge and Draynor Village.

Find the group of adventurers around a campfire.

Speak to the Warrior.

Ask him what they are doing there ('What are you camped out here for?').

Ask about the Leprechaun ('A leprechaun?').

Agree to look for the tree ('Ok, I'll look for the tree').

Finding the Leprechaun

Walk directly west from the campfire into the trees.

Look for a tree that has the option 'Chop Tree' instead of 'Chop down Tree'.

Attempt to chop this Dramen tree.

A leprechaun named Shamus will appear and run away.

Speak to Shamus.

Ask him how to get into Zanaris ('How do I get into Zanaris?'). He will tell you about the Dramen staff.

Preparing for and Travelling to Entrana

Bank all weapons and armour.

Gather required items: Knife, Hatchet.

Gather recommended items: Food, teleport method, combat supplies (prayer potions, runes, or bow materials as needed). Remember you cannot bring standard weapons or armour.

Go to Port Sarim.

Speak to any Monk of Entrana on the docks.

Select the travel option to Entrana. You will be searched; ensure you have no forbidden items.

Finding the Dramen Tree

Once on Entrana, head north-east and cross the bridge.

Continue west to find a ladder leading down into the Entrana Dungeon.

Speak to the Cave monk (optional) who warns you about the dungeon and the one-way exit to the Wilderness.

Climb down the ladder.

You may need to kill Zombies (level 25) in the first area until one drops a Bronze axe if you didn't bring your own hatchet (though bringing one is recommended).

Run south past the Greater demons (level 92) into the chamber containing the Dramen tree.

Defeating the Tree Spirit

Attempt to chop the Dramen tree.

A Tree spirit (level 101) will appear and attack you.

Defeat the Tree spirit. Strategies:

Melee: Equip the best weapon you could bring (e.g. the bronze axe from zombies, or just fists). Use Protect from Melee prayer and drink prayer potions as needed.

Ranged/Magic: There is a safespot in the room. Lure the spirit and attack from safety.

Crafting: If you brought hides and thread, craft leather armour. If you brought snail shells, craft a snelmn.

Crafting the Staff and Finishing

Once the Tree spirit is defeated, chop the Dramen tree to obtain a Dramen branch.

Use your Knife on the Dramen branch to craft a Dramen staff.

You can now either teleport out or use the 'Magic door' in the Greater demon room to the north, which teleports you to level 32 Wilderness.

To enter Zanaris, wield the Dramen staff and open the door of the small shed in Lumbridge Swamp (near the starting campfire).
